FAQ

WGH Ethiopia is the national chapter of the global Women in Global Health movement, dedicated to achieving gender equity in health leadership in Ethiopia.

Gender equity in health leadership is crucial for several reasons. It leads to more inclusive and effective health policies, better health outcomes for all, and a more motivated and supported health workforce. When women are in leadership, their perspectives and experiences can better address the health needs of women and girls, who are often disproportionately affected by health issues.

Women in the Ethiopian health sector face several challenges, including underrepresentation in leadership and decision-making roles, gender-based discrimination and harassment, unequal pay, and limited opportunities for professional development and mentorship.

You can get involved by volunteering your time and skills, participating in our upcoming events and webinars, and amplifying our advocacy messages on social media.
